Five Star Customer Service

Feedback from Vero® Amplifier users around the country.

"In general, it sounds better. Small changes in treble and midrange make a huge difference in having the guitars sounding warm instead of sounding grating. The real acid test was trying my old Super out the other night (just because I hadn't used it in over a month and wanted to see if it still worked). My general feeling was that the Fender sounded too small, too thin, and the only thing I dug about it was the constant reverb.

Fan comments about the CZ include: it helps my Gibson come up to the Strat in volume, it has a rich sound, is it an original Vero from the 40's??, it glows on stage, American made?? - good!, my granddad had a radio like that, etc. Very positive."

Steve, just want to report in about the amp.
I've used it now for couple a few weeks at my regular Thursday night gig. This has been an ongoing gig for 3 years so I've had the chance to AB a lot of equipment over this time.

Here is the best feed back. The other musicians in the band and myself all felt that the"Vero" amp had the best sound of any amp I've used. (Fender black face, Clark Beaufort, Kendrick K, Gibson gold-tone.)

I probably have bought in 10 different amps over the past 3 years. Of course all nice hand built boutique amps, but all this time I have been looking for some "tweed" like combo with the right power and the right tube distortion. I've also tried some different pedals along the as well.

In any case, I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with sound I am getting from your amp. No pedals, using new Gibson Humbucking pickups on my guitar. I know how hard you've worked to tweak it and I really appreciated all you've done and continued to help me when I had questions.

So, there you are,

Steve,

"The sound files on the web site show the range of sounds possible but the 3-D depth of the amps is truly amazing live. I was really blown away by the sound of the 2-12 and could not believe how light it was either. That tone......such a sweet fat clean sound that morphs into a beautiful grind with a twist of the guitar volume and all with little to no loss in apparent volume. I loved the 4-10 too but not sure my spine would like it after a while of carrying around.

Please, tell Chris that I am really amazed at the cabinetry work he does and that, along with the great circuit design makes the amps true works of art and tone. I am 100% impressed with the amps and the level of customer service that I have found with Vero. You and your brother have been so helpful and accommodating with me.........

I really think that you have the complete package together. Pretty rare to find that in any product these days."

"I've spent more time with this and have to tell you I like it more and more. I have big tube amps for my stereo (Cary 211 that use Western 300B, which they kind of brought back), plus a number of tube guitar amps -- Fender,Speedster, Fuchs, and even the new Kendrick jazz amp) -- and have come to appreciate the sonic differences. I'm finding the combination of your amp, the 15" speaker (which I am very pleased that I chose), and my archtops with the Kent Armstrong 12 polepiece mounted p/u, incredibly pleasing. Haven't taken it to a gig yet, but last night played for my wife for a couple of hours, including a couple of ballads using the tremolo; she couldn't say enough about how pretty the tone was. It's also a great looking thing, and not impossible to carry, so I don't know how much better a jazz player could do unless they are looking for a lot more power, such as a Fender Twin.
Your sound is much more interesting, particularly at lower volumes.

So with all my screwing around with equipment, generally a fools paradise, I am so pleased to have happened across your neat company. I can see unloading a few of those other amps I mentioned to make some floor space for another of yours as back up or to try a different color option.

I know you've been at it a while, but these 20th Cent amps seem to open up a different market niche, and I wish you the best of luck. I appreciate the very responsive and knowledgeable service, and please let me know if I can do anything to be helpful to you guys."

"I've played the amp on two gigs this week.It is just killer! Can't believe the tone. Many compliments from people too. On the sound and look. Believe me, I won't be able to tell enough people about how great this amp is. I've been spreading the Vero gospel."

"I have now gigged out with the CZ five times and it is absolutely fabulous! It has so much body, my chords are full, my leads are strong, it is very touch sensitive, and I like the midrange tone that you put in the amp. As expected, all of the guitarists who come into the clubs where we play are all over me asking what kind of amp I'm playing. The speaker combination, I believe, produces a strong clean tone mixed with a slight breakup, which I love. I now rarely use my overdrive pedal for leads, I just use the volume control on my guitar. Great amp!!!"

“I was diggin' that [chicago zephyr] I played, it allowed the character of my guitar to come through without coloring the tone. ”–Will C.
